Is there a way to kill a job and purge the manage jobs data?

Really 2 questions.  We have about 55k profiles getting loaded and we didn't check a few to make sure the format was right...  bad user, bad..  Every record is erroring out and there isn't any reason to continue to load the profiles, is there a way to kill a load that's running in the backdrop?

Question 2, our manage jobs table is huge, is there a way to purge the data in that table?
