Freezing PM's

Can I get some suggestion on how to freeze some PM's for certain period of time.

Say for e.g. I have AC Units maintenance that should not be worked on during Winter months. But these PM's should generate as per schedule (weekly and or monthly and or annual etc) during summer. It just need to stop generating PM's automatically for Winter months (or freeze them for winter).
