BI Publisher Report: Where to start?

Hello, everyone.

Can someone help me with some guidelines on how to create a report using BI Publisher and later publish it to Unifier? I've read the thread , but still having difficulties in getting it done.

Our Unifier is in a cloud-hosted environment. I'm not sure what to do first, either create a Data Model & Report in BI Publisher, or create the Custom Report with External Data Model in Unifier. I have created a Data Model and Report in BIP, though. But when I clicked on the Synchronize External Reports, the created report in BIP doesn't show in Unifier.

I also have no idea where to create/publish the .xdm file, since downloading from BIP only gives me .xdmz, which Unifier won't take in.
