Ebiz XML Publisher Triple nested group XML for Excel template issue

we use Ebiz 12.1.3, and many of our payroll transactional reports are created in EBiz XML(BI) Publisher

Recently started to create data definitions for XML to be consumed by Excel templates, where we have a summary totals front worksheet, and then subsequent worksheets created dynamically based on xml grouping

I can create a data definition XML output where I have 1 nested group with one Link between the groups and that works ok (I can base my template and XML on the provided oracle Department/employee example BI Publisher: How to create Multisheet in Single Excel file using Excel Template (Doc ID 1352000.1
