PO approval and Print with approval information

Good day,

We are planning to implement online approval for Purchase order.  What is normal practice after PO approval ?  PO  can be sent to supplier  (Or) user has to take PO print as usual?  Is there any option to have in PO print the approved informations who and all approved and when ?  (or) should we customized PO print to show if it is approved in online?  Please help.
