Purging of data from Ebusiness Suite

Hi All

I am purging data from various modules in the Ebusiness Suite - AR, AP, Fixed Assets, GL, Cash Management, Order Management, Projects, iExpense  and Inventory. My question is should I leave the purging of the GL data - balances and journals to last, We are on R12.1.3
