Peoplesoft WF - Adding new path by role ?

There in a delivered feature in WF - Start new path, using the plus sign the approver can click and add a new path by selecting user ID from the drop down list. This is works. However our requirement is, new path adding by new role . So instead of selecting specific user Id, does anyone tried to configure to select WF roles ?
