Truncate instead of DBMS_AUDIT_MGMT.CLEAN_AUDIT_TRAIL package?

Is it possible to run truncate command on tables from owner AUDSYS instead of using  DBMS_AUDIT_MGMT.CLEAN_AUDIT_TRAIL package?
