System giving error for WO status change not allowed when trying to recommit or change Item on alrea

Hi,

We have a scenario where we need to change Serialized Item from one order to another,or to change ship to number, or prioritize another customer for which Item is already delayed.

Then it will be required to recommit this serialized Item and we can not do that as it populates an error 'WO Status change not allowed'.

This happens because Sales Order line has corresponding Work Orders which are already completed and closed, thus system would not allow to change.

But, this step happens in business process, we need solution to overcome this system response and allow to recommit Items. somehow we need to disconnect sales order line from WO
