SR list empty due to pre-loaded filter

When I open MOS and click the 'Service Requests' tab, the filter criteria in the upper-right corner is pre-selected for 'Problem Summary' and the input field pre-loaded with a number, as shown in the screen shot below.

Apparently this filter is being applied and causing no SRs to be returned.  It applies for selecting either current active SRs or including closed SRs.  If I delete the value in the input field and do a page refresh (browser control, not an MOS control) the field is again loaded with the value and no SRs listed.  If I delete the value, then click the icon to flip between 'all (including closed) SRs' and 'only open SRs', then I can get the list.
