MTU value for loopback adapter in four node RAC

HI  All,

We  have four node RAC (11.2.0.4) on Red hat 7 ,because of "NO buffer space issue on all  RAC DB we want to lower MTU value  for loopback adapter on DB clusters.

Current MTU Value :65536

New MTU  Value : 16384

Do we need to stop and start CRS during implementation ..Do we need to reboot each node .

Will there be any implication if we don't restart ?

Please suggest .
