I am installing Siebel IP17 in the cloud with AWS.

Following Bookshelf and the Install and Configure Advisor I have been able to get through the hoops in getting my install up and running.

My EC2 instance has a very long FQDN but I am stuck in entering the GatewayHostname:port.
I do know the SMC wants an Gateway FQDN but EC2 instances have > 30 characters in them!

I also appreciate that there is a character limit for the hostname (12 to 15 characters).

Do I need to have created and started up my Apache Gateway Service prior to Gateway configuration  ? The Install guide moves immediately from Database configuration wizard steps directly onto logging into the SMC and entering my Gateway details for the Profile configuration steps.
