Costing method for components in R31802A mixed mode

Hi

We are working in E9.2 and need some quick confirmation on PO value used for R31802A mixed mode option. The document says that need to setup component cost method as 02 (wt avg cost) to enable this functionality. We are using 08 cost method for our components , while the parent cost method is setup as 07. Did testing with 08 cost method and R31802A & R31804 outputs looks good.  Does anyone foresee an issue if we use with component cost method as 08 and enable this mixed mode accounting ?

The PO message says that we can not use this functionality if detail product costing option is used . Is that mean work center based product costing used ?. Any thoughts why we should not use this functionality if WC based costing enabled.
