cumulative translation adjustment (translation)

Hi,

We use the Translation function every month.   Certain accounts that should be fixed in terms of translation of f/x rates is not occurring.  For example fixed assets should be fixed at historical rates.  Retained earnings should be fixed annually when we close out the year, etc.  Is there a way the Translation function effect  for certain accounts?
