Virtualise EBusiness Production environment on Free ESX version

Hi: I am planning to virtualise my E Business Suite (R12.1.3 on 11g database ) Production environment.

So far we have been running on 2 physical servers (RHEL 4) - one as Database node and another as Application node.

I plan to use the VMware vSphere Hypervisor (free version of ESX). I plan to use 2 physical servers with each physical server holding one RHEL 7.0 virtual machine.

The VMs will be using Netapp as SAN.

Is there anyone using the freeversion of VMWare in production environment?

Can anyone share their experience of  working with Oracle and VMWare in a setup like this?

The idea here is to use a single physical machine to host both the application and database node in case of a disaster. These ESX nodes will not be on Cluster mode.
