Client Side Editing

There is a feature under the Edit Menu called Turn Client Side Editing On/Off.

I checked the latest user guide (v16 rev 3) but could not find any mention of the feature. But the same is available in the earlier version (rev 2)

1. Why was this removed from the document in the latest version? Is the feature not working as expected?

2. Does it work when only numeric values are present in the worksheet? If so does it make the scrolling faster or calc faster once any values are updated?
