Would it be practical to use Oracle Business Rules to develop a rules-intensive E Business Suite ext

Hello -

Our objective is to develop an automated process to categorize EBS Purchase Orders into different categories based on a complex set of rules.  Currently the user reviews the POs and associated data warehouse data manually and then assigns the category based on their knowledge of the existing rules and guidelines.

Would it be practical to use Oracle Business Rules to maintain the rules in a structured, controlled environment rather than code them in PL/SQL or some custom framework?  We are currently not using any rules-based products but I have used Oracle Financials Approval Management Engine (AME) and am hoping that Oracle Business Rules might have some similar functionality.

Howdy, Stranger!
