At present OSB is sending same return code OSB-380002 for all below errors.

Connection Timeout

Connection Error

Read Timeout

In UPI application, in case of time-out or receipt of 380002 from OSB, transaction is converted to deemed which impacts the end user experience as the user can't do transaction again until amount gets settled in next day reconciliation.

To avoid the unnecessary deemed transactions specially during scheduled maintenance activities in FC and Middleware request , we need to implement separate error code for Connection Timeout and Connection error cases & read timeout.

Please look into it , this issue already in 11g version and again found in 12c version.
