Remove favorites for deleted transactions

All,

When we mark an order/shipment or invoice as favorites and for some reason the transaction gets deleted, the IDs remain in favorite. We are unable to clear them out. Is there a way to automatically remove the transaction from favorites when it gets deleted or do we have an option to remove favorites for deleted transactions manually?
