APC-RPO - Escalation Path (to generate item/przn elasticity)

Hi,

I have a question related to the Escalation Path. As far as I understand, it is used as a "failsafe" if APC is unable to generate the elasticity at the lowest level, it should use the elasticity from the following level, and so on. And I thought this failsafe is only used if the elasticity is not generated at BASE Level (means item/price zone).

At the default APC configuration, the escalation path start at ITEM level, then class, and so on.

Does that means that APC will only calculate elasticity at ITEM level at minimum? Meaning that all price zones shall have the same elasticity? If I want APC to generate item/price zone elasticity, it should be included in the level 01 on the escalation path?
