Physical Standby between Exadata and ODA

We have a Physical Standby configuration between Exadata 1 (primary) and Exadata 2 (standby).

We got new ODA X7 HA machines. I would like to add a second physical standby database on this ODA.

All of them are running 12.1.0.2 database. They are RAC 2 nodes.

Does anybody have experience running Exadata (primary) and ODA (physical standby)?

If yes, could you share? How do you deal with one-off patches on the exadata?
