Accidentally Opened Future Period

I have accidentally opened P24-OCT-2018 and it is causing the GL journal entry screen for a new journal to default to this period.  It should be P24-SEP-2018.

I would like a solution that does the following ;

  1. Either revert the P24-OCT-2018 to Future Enterable
  2. Have the GL Default Period set to minus one (i.e. P24-SEP-2018)

I cannot close the P24-OCT-2018 period as we need to post reversing journals in P24-SEP-2018 and the P24-OCT-2018 period must be either “Future Enterable” or “Open” so the reversal journal can be raised.
