Work Confirmations

How do you monitor work confirmations?  We have some that are getting stuck for one reason or another and months will go by and then someone will inquire about the status and that is when we find it is "stuck" and didn't get pushed on to the next approver.  I was wondering if there was a way to run a report on all work confirmations by status?
