Attention: To align with new corporate security policies, and to match policies adopted by other communities within Oracle, the My Oracle Support Community access requirements will change beginning September 18, 2025. How do we end date (close down ) an inventory organization?

We have number of inventory organizations which are no longer being used.

We want to end date them to reduce the overhead of opening and closing periods for these obsolete inventory organizations.

How do we go about doing it?

We opened SR with oracle. They mentioned about ER to obtain documentation for this function: bug 8886126 [https://bug.oraclecorp.com/pls/bug/webbug_edit.edit_info_top?rptno=8886126] - NEED DOCUMENTATION FOR END DATING OBSOLETE INVENTORY ORGS

This is a very old ER. Looks like no action is taken by oracle for several years.

Specifcally, we have questions:

a) What do we look into inventory module to make sure that it is OK to close the org?
