Back Date Wages Paid in later Quarter to earlier Quarter

Hello Community Members,

I have a question on whether Salary and Taxes paid in the later quarter can be backdated to earlier Quarter. The scenario is this -

1. An employee had a stale-dated check from the 1st quarter. The check was voided and a new check was reissued in September. Consequently, the wages and associated taxes are showing up in the 3rd quarter reports. The wages and taxes were reported and paid in the 1st quarter. Is it possible to move those wages back to the 1st quarter and would that correct the tax reports for the 3rd quarter?

Can this back-dating be done using Interim Payroll? Please advise.
