Upgrade to 12.2 from 11.2.0.3 on AIx

Hi ,

I am planning to upgrade my grid and rdbms home to 12.2 from 11.2.0.3 version on aix . grid and rdbms have "Database Patch Set Update : 11.2.0.3.8" installed but as per metalink  note Doc ID 2180188.1  I need to apply 24934122 On top of 11.2.0.3.9 Clusterware patch to perform the upgrade  but i want to apply "Patch 20996944: GRID INFRASTRUCTURE PATCH SET UPDATE 11.2.0.3.15 (JUL2015)" on my system which is latest for 11.2.0.3 .

Question is - Do I need to apply 24934122 and 11.2.0.3.9 Clusterware patch if i am applying "Patch 20996944: GRID INFRASTRUCTURE PATCH SET UPDATE 11.2.0.3.15 (JUL2015)"  and Patch 20996944 would be enough to perform the 12.2 upgrade for Grid and rdbms
