How to ensure the order is cancelled?

Dear Team,

How do we ensure an order is cancelled? I was informed that if the order is in 980/999 then it is cancelled. but i see there are certain lines for the order in 400/999, when i check in application(P4310) it shows all lines striked off .

How do we ensure if  this order (all lines) are cancelled. We are running on JDE XE. Please advice.
