Inventory commitment - best before date vs expiration date

Hi,

We have lots that we may test and then extend the lot expiration date.  Typically we allocate lots by expiration date.  The issue we have is that these extended lots are being committed before "older" lots that have not been extended.

We changed the item branch to look at the best before date instead of the lot expiration since we are not changing the best before.

We did this by changing the Commitment Date Method on the Lot Processing Tab to a 3.  The Commitment Method on the Basic Branch Data tab is also set to 3.

It appears that if the best before date is expired (less than current date) the lot is not getting allocated even if the lot expiration is active.
