Asset Management - Physical Inventory - Processing Custodial Changes

Is anyone using 9.2 Classic Physical Inventory to process custodial changes as well as location code changes? If so, what configuration is needed to be able to process both? The goal being to only process custodial and location changes if the scan file contains different records than the current custodial fields. Any suggestions?
