Setting up Co-Products without OSFM

I am curious if anyone that has Oracle Discrete MFG without OSFM knows the best practice for setting up Co-Products?  Essentially we have a family mold that makes 5 different widgets.  We want to be able to set this up and generate lot information for each individual item.  The team started reading about Co-Products but appears that is a feature of OSFM.  Our company is not going to make another module investment so our team needs to figure out a way around this, right now most of this business is managed via excel and outside Oracle.  So all products are
