SO Change Didn't Update Config Item WO

Hi All:

Sales Entry entered a SO for a configured item, quantity of 1.  The WO was generated correctly and the P/L and Routing were attached without issue.  The sales team then changed the order quantity to 2.  The expectation is that the WO would also be increased to 2, and reattaching the P/L and Routing would keep the WO in alignment with the SO.  However, the WO never increased to 2 units, so the P/L and Routing are incorrect.

Doc 819368.1 indicates that changing the quantity will trigger the config process again.  Would cancelling out of the config process, due to not changing the configuration, only the quantity, prevent updating the associated WO?
