Payables Clean Up project - Delete Unposted Subledger Entries from the GL

Hi, I am trying to determine if there will be side effects of deleting Unposted Journals Entries from the Payables Subledger. I have a read in a few places that state in some case you will be unable to reconcile the subledger. If entries were replaced by Manually entries what part of reconciling the subledger wont work?

Are there any side effects I should be aware of?
