Issue with Lot number(P4205 Ship confirmation Application)

Dear Team,

One of our users have got an issue with  lot number that , the system is allowing them to scan in parts where there is no record of these parts existing in that branch plant and then somehow the system is assigning a different lot # to these parts.

Basically we would like to know , if there is an item which does not belong to a particular MCU, if we try to book that item, will the system give us any Hard error? in P4205(Ship confirmation application) (in our case system is not giving us any hard error, rather some other lot number is being picked up and assigned to this item, which is causing issue).
