Attention: To align with new corporate security policies, and to match policies adopted by other communities within Oracle, the My Oracle Support Community access requirements will change beginning September 18, 2025. parallel query 12c r1 for OLTP

hello,

I have just received the schema of a new application (OLTP)

I was suprised to find several tables with PARALLEL ( DEGREE DEFAULT INSTANCES DEFAULT ).

These tables are used in screen by several user.

My instance is 12c R1.

Are there some new 12c parallelism features in that make parallel operations effective in OLTP application ?
