LOTS Field converts to Upper Case...

The LOTS field in E1 has a DD item property such i that the LOT number is always converted to upper case irrespective of how it has been entered.

Our suppliers send us LOTS with both upper and lower cases and its an EU regulation, that it should be possible to maintain LOTS in upper or lower or mix cases.

have anyone faced a similar issue and what steps were taken to mitigate this.

Changing the DD item property is one option, but we don't want to try that as of now.
