Siebel 18 installation on document server

We have installed Siebel 18 on Linux server and the environment is up and running, we are trying to install siebel 18 software on document server.  During installation of document server  installer s asking to provide the path of AI. Do we have to install SAMBA to map the linux path to windows server. ? Trying to find the pre-requisites to install the software on doc. server.
