11gR2: network interconnect switch move

edited Oct 26, 2018 5:00AM in Database - RAC/Scalability (MOSC) 1 commentAnswered

Hello,

We  currently have   production servers running 11gR2 RAC   (11.2.0.4)  on Linux servers (5.9).     The RAC is 2 node   and has the following interconnect defined.

Node 1

oracle:+ASM1@bba353 /oracle > oifcfg getif

eth0  10.0.60.0  global  public

eth1  10.0.61.0  global  cluster_interconnect

Node 2

oifcfg getif

eth0  10.0.60.0  global  public

eth1  10.0.61.0  global  cluster_interconnect

Our network admin wants to move to new switch  and he think  he can move to   eth2 and eth3.     Can we move 1 eth at a time and avoid downtime.     Or should we shutdown the database and clusterware   and then make a move ?  If there are any documents , please point us to correct docs to enable this move

Howdy, Stranger!
