License Plate Shipment Traceability

The license plate number is generated through all the process involved like purchase receipts, work order completion and inventory adjustments. I need to know in detail how the system confirms the shipment of the product in a license plate environment and how it is recorded in order to have license plate traceability. Will a license plate number (LPNU) travel to cartonization field (F4620.SCCN) ?  Thank you.
