[PeopleSoft AM] Reversing a BKS entry

Is it possible to reverse a Book Change (BKS) entry. The transaction date was incorrectly stated , the correct transaction date is prior to the incorrect date(last transaction date) . The system gives the below error when trying to save

''Asset has a cost history with a future date. Please choose a trans date after 2018-08-31 (8010,38)''

History

Asset initially created with 10/01/2016 transaction date , with useful life of 180

A change in useful life is made 08/31/18, life from 180 to 164.This should have been from inception 10/01/16 and not 08/31/18. Now we cannot seem to correct it online.  Any ideas?
