Is it possible to have primary in 11.2.0.4 and Standby in 12.1?

Hi -

I have a migration i need to do and am going through my options and need some input. Here is the situation.

I have a 15TB 11.2.0.4 database on Solaris in US. I want to upgrade to Oracle 12c on Red Hat Linux on a server in UK. It also has to be completed between Friday and Monday.

I checked on Golden Gate and it is no recommended because of the size and this database has a lot of LOBS, about 8TB of them. Also a lot of FK constraints. Pretty complicated. I also thought about transporatble tablespace but I would have to convert the files on US server and scp to new serve starting friday after work. I do not think there would be enough time.
