Hiding inactive rate offering/records from mass update screen drop down.

Hi All,

When we use mass update  screen to update some rate offering/record on an order release or shipment , a soon as we start typing, the expired or inactive rates  are displaying in the drop down.  Is there any way to control that  to show only active  rate offerings/records .
