Is it possible to source an Essbase application from a seperate OLAP database?

My company is installing a QRM application for stress testing requirements.  This has an OLAP backend and they are looking to source the information out of this application over to an Essbase cube.   Is it possible to setup an ODBC connection like it is with SQL to read in the data from the database directly within Essbase?
