Equipment has to be set up as Inventory Item for Equipment Leases
Hi,
We are on R12.2.6 and currently in the middle of Oracle Property Manager implementation for IFRS16 Compliance.
As per the existing functionality, prior to equipment lease creation, every equipment has to be registered as an inventory item (type-equipment;status-leased) for an inventory org for the lease OU. The problem that we are facing is that we do not maintain Oracle Inventory and the scope of this implementation is limited to a finance transformation. In that context, have the following comments -
1. Can this 'equipment asset' field in equipment lease creation page be made non mandatory so that every equipment need not be registered as an inventory item? Are you considering this to be implemented? If yes can we raise an SR to have an enhancement request raised?
