Whats the best practice in HFM for when a company sells part of it's business and needs hierarchies
Hi,
My company has recently sold part of it's business, and as HFM Administrator I would like to ask whats the best practice for reflecting this in the hierarchies.
We would need to retain data for historic reasons.
We are on version 11.1.2.4
Questions/thoughts:
- How other people deal with sale of entities within their hierarchies?
- Is it best to clear out entities entirely or leave entities and clear out segment using consol company entries?
- Move to discontinued in existing hierarchy at date of sale?
- Have separate discontinued hierarchy?
- We would need freeze FX rates and data at point of sale.
