18.8 upgrade: Issue with "Percentage Complete to Date" field on "Payment Applications" BP

We recently upgraded our Unifier environment to 18.8.2. the upgrade itself went fine. We have a 'cost' BP called "Service Agreement Payments" which is classified as "Payment Applications".

However, post upgrade, the BP was put in 'Draft' mode for development work and when were trying to 'Complete' it back and it wouldn't.  (No changes were made to the BP)

The following error is displayed while trying to complete or while doing an "Error Check"                     

"1 Field <Percentage Complete to Date> is not allowed in Form <Standard>."

Form <Standard> is the detail form for this BP.

I tried all kinds of workarounds like, changing the data entry to manual etc but none of them worked. Of course the field itself cannot be removed as the BP is published besides documentation suggests that its a mandatory system field on 'Payment Applications' BP.
