Custom report does not complete and remains in running status. Last sql shows begin fnd_conc_stat.co

Custom report does not complete and remains in running status. Last sql shows begin fnd_conc_stat.collect; end;

This happens only when the data range is large, when we run the report for about 5000 customers. If the range is very less then the concurrent program completes and excel output is produced.

Does anyone know what really causes this issue?
