Form design based on one table

I am trying to create a new form in e1 9.2 to pull records from one table. The screen should typically pull all the records from the table at the time its launched. Also it would be nice if few columns like the date range are added on the header and then a find button to filter out the records. If there's an option to update/fix a column that will be great as well. I'd like to know what form design would work best. I tried headerless detail however the records are not getting pulled. Not sure if I missed
