How to indicate that entries in applet are the search result records?

Hi ppl! When I execute search query in a list applet I've got some records as the search result. Thats good, but I have no idea how to distinguish visually two modes in applet: all records (when page just loaded, for example) and search results after query execution. Any advice how to indicate search result mode will be appreciated.
