Workflow notification does not show the complete Action History and also the Approver comments in De

Workflow notification does not show the complete Action History and also the Approval comments in Details. For example, Blanket Sales Agreement notification on preparer's landing page doesnt show complete details. Whereas the preparer can see the details via 'View Notification Details' in Actions in Form. But why the same details not present in the landing page notification. Also if the Approvers at all levels want to see the Action History with comments what setup needs to be done. Does this need any customization or can be done from out of the box setups/confirgurations.
