Different VAT GL accounts for each tax year

Hi,

As per the requirement finance needs different VAT GL accounts for each year and posting is to be done in these accounts according to the year.  As a possible solution I think we need to change the AAIs for every year to ensure that the automatic VAT entries hit different GL accounts every year.  Is there another way of achieving this?
